Refrigerators, freezers, furnaces and water heaters continue to operate and register usage on your meter. Before you leave call the Corning, Mt. Ayr or Stanton office. This assures there will be no misunderstandings that lead to the interruption of service during your absence.

Call one of the regional offices during business hours for outages, trouble on lines, to reach staff members, for billing questions, service information, rebate information, etc.
After hours, you will call the same number but a person from our Call Center will answer. They will be able to assist you with emergencies only - such as outages and other line trouble.
Important Notice re: Generators: Contact Southwest Iowa REC before installing standby generation. Emergency generators improperly connected create a very dangerous condition.
