Southwest Iowa REC is a member of the Iowa One Call System. This service allows anyone working near underground lines the convenience of making one phone call to 8-1-1 to request a location of buried facilities.
Required notice before digging is 48 hours before the planned work, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. There is an exception for emergencies.
